You Say You Want a Revolution???

Founding Bison taught me many lessons on how to engage users. After many attempts to get the data (we served very time compressed investors) in a format that our community loved, I can tell you it's tough. User experience is key but the path to developing a great user experience involves a lot of trial and error. It's not so much a revolution but rather a rotation of ideas and formats until you get positive interactions with the data.

I meticulously performed A/B testing of emails to users and prospects. I made sure to get feedback from the power users of my database. I absorbed all comments both positive and especially the negative to be sure I made it a delightful outcome.

That is the lesson I bring to UX/UI. If at first if you do not succeed . . . try another approach. Copy what works and is well thought of from other consumer experiences while adapting it to your unique product.

It is rewarding when you get it right. Getting the experience right was what made it possible to sell my start-up. The Bison users took the solution  to new levels of growth and success. Take copy that works and is well thought of from other consumer experiences while adapting it to your unique product.

Revolution is possible. It just takes hard work and a commitment to your customer experience.
