Yes I called my Daughter a Pain in the Ass on the Bima

In prior posts we have discussed, the importance of storytelling, the changes to Google and Panda, the value of relationship building. Today I want to talk about being blunt! and direct.

For example, my Daughter's Bat Mitzvah was last year, and as is tradition, I went up to the Bima with my wife and we offered our own prayer for her. We talked about being a good person, and all that good stuff, but then I said it straight. I said, “You are heading into your pain in the ass years! And these will be tough years for all of us, but you will come out a good person.” There is no dancing around it, all kids between the ages of 13 and 19 are pains in the ass, so we can either try to reason with it, (THAT won’t work) or deal with it head on. People were a bit shocked at the temple, "Did he just call his daughter a pain in the ass?" Some responded with, "I have wanted to say that, its soo true" Others were a bit shocked, and felt I was inappropriate, but thats okay too.

So what is my point? Sometimes we should be direct. Make sure that our content tells a good story, but also comes out and says. “We will rock your business, because we increase your natural search rankings, and will make sure you are always top of mind.” Then tell them how.

For example: ContentMX is able to accomplish improved SEO rankings, and top of mind by:

  • Providing original content on a regular monthly bases
    • (We have over 6000 writers, I am not one of them ;) )
  • Making it easy for that content to be posted to the website/blog site, and social sites
  • We also make it easy for employees to share the content
  • Then we automate the production of a monthly responsive newsletter

When you post content to all of these sites, have all of your employees socialize it and you send out a monthly newsletter you cover the three parts of what Google wants:

Original Content - Engagement with that content - Return traffic

The above was an example of telling a story, then leading directly to what we want to sell. To learn more about why your business NEEDS ContentMX, you can reach us at 781.444.7000 or Sales@ContentMX or just email me by LinkedIn.
