eNewsletters, the answer to Panda 4.0?

I have been spending quite a bit of time researching the changes of Panda 4.0. We actually worked through some tests with partner companies and here are three things we have learned

Panda likes traffic - Return visits to you website helps Google understand that the content that you produce has enough value that people will return

Panda likes engagement - Content that is shared, or has a reaction is seen as higher value

Panda likes photos - Photos that are updated frequently often times creates engagement, and again google likes engagement.

So, how do email newsletters play to Panda's strengths? First off a well structured newsletter, with short synopsis's to full stories on websites create the return visits. Newsletters with social sharing links have a higher level of content engagement. And lastly newsletter with photos, will create the highest level of engagement and sharing.

If you currently have a newsletter the key is to insure that you have a newsletter that is clean, provides easy mechanisms for sharing an article (No one shares an entire newsletter), is mobile friendly (60% of your population is reading your email on your mobile device, if you are not mobile friendly then you are lost).
