Meet the winners of our Pet Look-alike contest

Many local pet owners think they have the same looks and mannerisms of their pooches and felines. And come to find out, a few did. In January, we posted the first Post-Dispatch Pet Look-alike Contest. The judging wasn’t as easy as our mother-daughter and father-son look-alike contests — they, at least, have the same genes. The judges didn’t declare a winner with a spittin’ image. However, some pets and owners did share a shaggy ‘do. Others had a similar facial expression or outfitted their furry friend in the same color garb. Cheers to the human winners, who with their store gift certificates can pick up a treat for their four-legged companions and maybe some pet-themed accessories for themselves. Our first-place winner (chosen by our readers) received two tickets to the Wine & Whiskers fundraising event held at Busch Stadium and gift certificates from area pet stores. Second- and third-place winners (chosen by Post-Dispatch staffers) also received gift certificates from local pet stores. We also selected two honorable mentions.
