Acumatica Helps New Zealand Electronics Manufacturer Become ISO-Certified
Kirkland, WA (PRWEB) January 06, 2014 -- Acumatica, a leader in cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions for small and medium-sized companies, announced today the publication of its latest case study, featuring Precision Manufacturing Solutions (PMSNZ), which saw a 20-percent increase in sales after switching to Acumatica.
PMSNZ, based in New Zealand, manufactures parts for the electronics industry. Since 2007, they’ve crafted soldering machines, reflow ovens, and paste printers. As the company grew, its system of using spreadsheets to organize data and convey information became unsustainable.
“We were using multiple spreadsheets, folders, files, and even word-of-mouth to share information,” Managing Director Nathanial Fairweather said. “To extract data on one job, we had to open something like five documents. None of the different systems we were using were talking to each other.”
After searching for a web-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, PMSNZ chose Acumatica, which does not charge for individual user licenses. Fairweather said, “For a small company like ours, we might start out with five licenses, but as we grow, we will need more and we don’t want to pay for every additional license.”
“ERP vendors shouldn’t punish their customers for growing,” said Jean Gea, Acumatica’s Product Marketing Manager. “That’s why Acumatica doesn’t charge on a per-user basis.”
Since the switch to Acumatica’s browser-based system, PMSNZ has seen its staff and sales grow by 15 percent and 20 percent, respectively. The company also received its ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System certification in early 2013. “Without the Acumatica suite, we would certainly not have gotten ISO-certified,” said Fairweather, who credited Acumatica for making PMSNZ well integrated, efficient, and accurate.
